About Us
Who We Are
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Sulaimani was established in 2000–2001. It has two departments, which are Physical Education and Basic Physical Education. Each stage consists of two semesters, and its students graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. The aim of this college is to prepare future teachers for primary and secondary schools with knowledge of Physical Science in general and Physical Education in particular.

Vision
To be the first in local and regional level in Physical Fitness. Prepare graduates to face Physical Education Labor Market in local level. To keep up with scientific research around the world. Offering and providing training and teaching services quality assurance.
- Preparing teachers for the high schools with knowledge of the physical, educational, and social sides of sports.
- Contributing to the dissemination of culture, then working on making sports one of the important ways to make people close to each other.
Mission
The mission of the college is to prepare quality and capable leaders in physical fitness for the sake of raising the levels of school sports, physical fitness, and community health, while also helping researchers in the sports science field.
